The Gold Standard in Power Distribution Training

The E-Worx training platform was created by experienced industry professionals, people with backgrounds in both public utilities and the private sector, to meet a clear need for specialized, online training in the area of power distribution systems, including planning, design, implementation, and maintenance.

We partnered with Dr. Wallas Khella, Ph.D., P. Eng., SLMIEEE, FEIC, who is recognized in Canada as the developer of the power distribution industry’s gold standard training program.

Ph.D., P. Eng., SLMIEEE, FEIC

For over 25 years, Dr. Khella worked on Distribution System Planning and Design for Etobicoke Hydro, gaining a first-hand, real-world perspective that is reflected in the training courses he designed. In 1994, Dr. Khella established W.H. KHELLA Enterprises and began offering professional development courses for the electrical power distribution sector. For many years he was also a member of the Canadian Standards Association (CSA Group), where he helped to develop national regulatory and safety standards for the power distribution sector.

Dr. Khella’s courses have been taken by over 2,000 students, many of whom are now in leadership roles at Local Distribution Companies, major utilities and private electrical engineering firms across Canada, the United States and the Caribbean.

E-Worx was created to make over 40 years’ worth of industry experience and expertise available online. Every module has been updated and reviewed, by Dr. Khella and practicing engineers, to make sure it meets the needs of today’s industry and professionals.

In addition to revising and updating the course content, which included developing a special module for non-technical staff, E-Worx collaborated with instructional designers, writers, actors and digital filmmakers to optimize the content for the E-Worx training platform.
