Forces and Loads in Overhead Distribution Systems Course (ST2)


Understanding forces and loads are fundamental to the design of pole lines. This module examines the various forces on a pole, how to factor climate into pole line design, safety factors and grades of construction.

Prerequisite: Introduction to Sags, Tensions, and Guying for Distribution Circuits Course (ST1)

Runtime: 70 minutes



Who should take it: Anyone who is new to power distribution and power systems engineering, or who needs to refresh their understanding of power distribution fundamentals.
